You Said Say

God. I lay prone in my bed to pray. It’s odd,
but you answer in my head with quips that
would sound biting from a kin. Instead, we share good

bellyfull laughs. You tell me my will
keeps the tension that weds us and leaps
of faith are fay. “Don’t dread the fall, love,
or rising.” You said. “Leap more.”
