Poems can be as simple as an image, which can be complex in meaning. But most of all, poems should be easy to read. Below are three short poems that qualify.
Nostalgia
On top
a wooden
desk
I wrestle
an empty
page, my mind
strains to
fill the paper
with soft
relics of why
I stopped
in the lush grass
as the silver
moon
glistened upon
buried rites
and years
past.
The Poem
some say
is a drunk
beer
bottle floating
along a muddy
river's enjambed
waves.
A Blind & A Decisive Mind
the soiled curtains
that hang upon
my dusty window
sills are not
getting washed today.
I have no extras.
